Vision: A society in which all the vulnerable and ill, especially those with HIV/AIDS, are appropriately supported and are able to enjoy quality of life.

Mission: The Caring Network empowers individuals to care for the vulnerable and ill, especially those affected by HIV/AIDS, through the provision of training, capacity building, networking and community action.
    Strategic Objectives:
  • To provide individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, particularly those who are unemployed, with training in life skills and healthcare.
  • To establish a network of care groups to care for the sick, particularly those with HIV/AIDS.
  • To provide a professionally supervised home-based care service.
  • To provide ongoing support, capacity building and training to these care groups and home-based carers.
  • To promote this particular developmental model of care and assist other groups in establishing similar networks.
  • To develop a culture of caring and spirituality.
  • To co-operate to the fullest degree with organizations and individuals with similar, or related, aims and objectives.
  • To use appropriate lobbying and advocacy strategies to ensure the effective delivery of public health services to the vulnerable and ill, and in support of home-based carers.
